In this section we will post regular updates and developments in Randy's case, together with details of how you can help us in our campaign to save Randy's life.
On 8th July, 2019, we had news that an execution date of 10th October has been scheduled for Randy. This news comes with the knowledge that there are pending and unresolved issues in the Courts that Randy's lawyers are working very hard to bring to fruition. We have every reason to hope that his date will be stayed, and that Randy will receive the due process he deserves, in accordance with his Constitutional rights. Randy has a team of excellent and dedicated lawyers who are working very hard to save him, and we are behind them in everything they do.
Details of the misconduct of Judge Vickers Cunningham was filed in Randy's Petition for Habeus Corpus, on 17th May, 2019. You can read that filing here:
The evidence contained in this filing supports the fact that Randy should be given a new trial. Since this filing was made the state of Texas has tried to dismiss the misconduct and bigotry of Judge Cunningham, and have hastily pursued this execution date for Randy even with the ongoing unresolved issues.
Recently, the Anti Defamation League filed a brief in Randy's case which provides a history of anti-Semitism, and explains why terminology such as "the f*****' Jew" and "g*******d k**e" are so offensive and cannot be tolerated in any society. You can read the ADL Brief here:
This was made to accompany the filing of the Amicus Brief in support of Randy's case, prepared and signed by over 100 Jewish attorneys in Texas (and others) and with this comes new hope that Randy's case will receive the consideration it deserves by the Courts.
Two letters to Attorney General Ken Paxton were also prepared by Randy's attorneys, and signed by a group of Rabbis, and Inter-faith leaders, in support of Randy's case. You can view the scanned copies of these letters below.
Please share this Brief and everywhere you can to raise as much public support for Randy's case as possible.
In the meantime, we are still working on every possible angle. Please visit the tabs below where you will find:

Randy's attorneys, his friends, and his supporters have worked tirelessly to raise awareness that Randy did not have a fair and unbiased trial, and that the judge made certain that vital and crucial evidence in Randy's case was not allowed to be shown to or heard by the jury. By now, the racist, bigotted, and anti-Semitic remarks made by Judge Vickers Cunningham are well known, and the fight goes on for Randy to have a new, fair, and unbiased trial to correct the errors of his original trial, and where the evidence in support of his case can be heard by a jury.
We would like to thankAbraham J. Bonowitz from Death Penalty Action for activating a Petition calling for a retrial for Randy, and for getting things moving very quickly.
We would also like to thank the Sant'Egidio Community, and Randy's friends, Alessia and Arturo, for working together in making an urgent appeal for Randy's life.
